Madison Saracen Junior rider, Phil Atwill, is at the Worlds for the fist time after having a great debut season on the World Cup circuit. Phil has been keeping a blog over the last few days, giving us an insight into exactly what it's like to be competing at the biggest bike race in the world.

Day 1

First day of practice here in Leogang, the weathers looking nice and so is the track. We're staying just up the road from the gondola staion in a posh hotel and the food here is pretty descent... I got a solid 4 runs in today building speed with every one. My bikes feels good on track and I feel good on my bike, so all in all a prime start to the week and looking forward to tomorrow... Forcast is rain so it should be slick!

Day 2

It rained the hole way though the night so come this morning the track was soaked.. But I was loveing it! We didn't have long for practice so I made sure I got warmed up early so I could make the most of the two hours. I managed to get four runs in and was buzzing for everyone of them! The wet weather and big rutts suit me down to the ground.. I had a look at the bigger jumps and sent the first one second run, its running a lot slower in to them due to the rain, so had to pull up like a beast! Looking forward to tomorrow, hope is hammers down all night!!
