Early this week I went to a couple local spots in Milton Keynes and Woburn sands that a lot of people may not know about or just haven’t ridden. I went with my photography friend Gepard who has been taking photos of me for the last couple years now and he definitely gets the job done! Check his web site out www.gepardphoto.com. Anyway, he’s been getting into filming since the start of the year and so far the edits he’s put together look awesome and hopefully when we’ve got enough video footage together we should have a really good video.
So, the first spot we went to was a huge curved wall with the tightest transition and I’m talking about a foot of transition which if you ride at it straight you’d end up face planting the wall. It then went up about 12ft! It was fun! It was at the end of a dodgy underpass full of broken concrete and glass. I did think about dropping in from the top :s Maybe next time!
the next spot was a flatbank next to a smelly old farm/barn full of manure, luckily the wind was blowing away from us, most the time! We got some sand and mud to push up against the bottom of the bank as there was a curb. The smell got abit too much and the sun was setting so it was a struggle to find any light on the camera. I have also been getting into riding dirt over at woburn sands which were pretty intimidating at first but after a couple sessions they are amazingly fun and addictive! The jumps there are pretty big but the locals have built them so they flow just right and i’ve found the bigger you go, the smoother they are. There’s also a pump track with a fun hip which i love blasting round. Its an ideal place to go whether your just getting into riding or if your ready for the big jumps.
Cheers PK. Thanks Andy
