Round 5 of the British Downhill Series took place over the weekend at the popular Caersws venue, with the Madison Saracen team looking to capitalise on recent successes at the World Cup.
Manon Carpenter is back on form after her mid-season injury. Coming in to the race off the back of her second World Cup podium in Val d'Isere, Manon has got her confidence and fitness back up and took the win in the Elite catergory by an impressive 8 second margin. This puts Manon in a strong position in the series overall with two rounds remaining.

In the Elite Men, Harry Molloy was looking to put in a good result in a season where race runs have not always gone according to plan. Harry put in a solid run to finish 18th.
Phil Atwill has been going from strength to strength this season. After finding his feet on his debut World Cup season, Phil has turned on the style and the results have started to come in thick and fast with a top 40 finish at Val d'Isere being of particular note. Phil had a slight mistake on his run, costing him valuable time, but still managing to finish 5th in Junior with Josh Lowe coming in 22nd.

Will Weston has also been pulling in some great results this season and Caersws was to be no exception : 5th place and another rider looking good in the overall rankings.

The next round of the British Downhill Series takes place on 25th and 26th August at Bringewood
