The Madison Saracen downhill team have had an incredibly successful maiden season, notching up a National Championship title, a Junior World Cup series win and a Junior World Championships amongst a whole host of other race wins and podium finishes.

The final round of the British Downhill Series was the last major race of the season after the original September date had to be re-arranged due to bad weather conditions. Caersws was the venue and the famous Welsh hillside went from dry, to greasy to muddy over the course of Sundays racing.

With the overall series win still up for grabs in all categories still up for grabs, the team were hoping to top off an already stunning maiden season.

In a season which has seen Manon Carpenter make multiple top-10 finishes in the World Cup, as well as securing the Junior World Cup and World Champs, expectation was high on Manon to deliver the goods. She didn’t disappoint, with a 1st in Elite Women by a whopping margin of 10 seconds! This win also helped Manon to wrap up the overall series win, adding yet another title to this year’s haul!

Phillip Atwill was was 2nd in Youth and also took 2nd place overall - a great result for Phil in a year that saw him take the Youth National title only a few months ago.
Harry Molloy finished in 12th place in Elite Men, giving him 17th overall.
Will Weston was 27th in Youth and 19th overall in the series
Josh Lowe took 17th in Junior, which left Josh with 16th place overall.
Jack Geoghegan finished 24th in Elite Men and 34th overall.
