Jordan Williams crowned junior World Champion

Jordan Williams is the 2022 UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Champion in the junior mens category, with a race-winning run in Les Gets, France. 

Williams, who started the season with the goal of landing the rainbow jersey, delivered to perfection, setting the fastest time in qualification and following it up with the fastest time on race day. 

The Madison Saracen Factory Race Team rider representing Great Britain completed his run in 3.28.324 - nearly six seconds up on his nearest rival. 

Williams' win makes it three junior world titles for the team, as he follows the success of Matt Walker (2017) and Manon Carpenter (2011). 

Williams will wear his new jersey at the final round of the World Cup series, which takes place on 2-3 September.
