Jordan Williams wins in Val di Sole
Jordan Williams ended his 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup season on a high, winning the eighth and final round of the year in Val di Sole, Italy.
The newly-crowned world champion, resplendent in the rainbow jersey handled the pressure all weekend, taking top spot in both qualifying and race run and setting the fastest time of the weekend.
It was the perfect end to Williams' stint in the junior category, where he took three World Cup race wins and finished second in the series overall.
Veronika Widmann rounded out her season with seventh at her home race, securing eighth overall in the series and with it a protected status into next season.
