Who is the fastest rider and bike combo? We teamed up with Mountain Biking UK to settle the score in a series of fun, unpredictable challenges that put riders and bikes to the ultimate test.

MBUK's Rob Weaver takes on Saracen's very own Becci Skelton and Jono Jones in a head-to-head battle across a range of challenges designed to test every aspect of mountain biking. From technical climbing and bike handling to speed, control and all-round trail performance, each challenge pushes both rider and machine to their limits.

The catch? Each rider had to choose their bike before they knew what challenges they would be facing. That meant strategy was just as important as skill. Would a long-travel enduro bike dominate every stage, or would a nimble trail bike or lightweight hardtail steal the show?

Rob Weaver - Mantra Race LSL (£1,499.99)

Representing Mountain Biking UK, Rob took on the competition aboard the Mantra Race LSL our top-spec hardtail.

Although he was slightly nervous about being the only rider without rear suspension, the lightweight Mantra quickly proved that a hardtail is more than capable when the riding gets serious.
