The Black Snake bites back in Val di Sole
Billed as the toughest track of the season, Val di Sole lived up to expectations and delivered a savage weekend of racing.
Compounded by stormy conditions, the track presented a host of crashes and challenges at round four of the 2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
Greg Williamson had the best of the running for the Madison Saracen Factory Team, piloting his Myst to 15th position in the finals. With three rounds remaining, Williamson has had one of his strongest ever seasons and sits 13th in the overall standings.
Matt Walker was one of the many finals victims, as he crashed out early in his run - and junior George Madley faced a similar outcome, underlining that no reputation was spared on track.
